THE SEW MUST GO ON!

It's the week of Thanksgiving which means the following: An enormous bird is in the fridge thawing, meal prep begins in 24 hours, and I'm happily in my shop sewing! Why am I sewing you ask? It's because one of Dayton's most glamorously & fun holiday traditions is just around the corner!

On November 24th, The Rubi Girls will take to the stage for their annual fundraising performance, 'The Show Must Go On!' Funds raised at this one-of-a-kind event is filtered directly into HIV/AIDS & LGBT charities, while also battling the stigma of HIV & AIDS. I'm proud to be designing and building costumes being worn at this amazing event. Take a peek at one of my sketches and an in-progress build!

CLUE On Stage. It's been such a rewarding experience building looks for such an iconic show. Plus, these kids are really stepping up their game and putting together an excellent performance! MASQUERAGE! Paper faces on parade, Masquerage!

It's crunch time over here at John Faas Designs | ActII Costumes. This Friday is the much beloved Dayton Halloween event, Masquerage, and the ever popular Columbus Halloween event, HighBall Halloween! I've had the honor of designing costumes for both this year.
